A LIFETIME OF SOUL...
Donnie Lynee is a Soul and R&B singer/songwriter hailing from Cleveland, OH. Donnie attended Cleveland School of Arts where she studied classical violin, vocal music, and jazz art. She started recording songs in high school with the S.T.A.R.S. Program.
In 2015 Donnie starred as Angel of Mercy, Ornella Sturdevant in the critically acclaimed musical Leap of Faith at the nationally embraced Cleveland Karamu Theater. This marked a return to singing for Donnie. Later that year, she became a professional recording artist releasing her first EP, “Future In Retrospect”. The project received great reviews globally.
In 2016, she released her single “Who I Am!”, produced by Cleveland producer FC OnTheBeat. For her 2017 single, "I'm Yours", she collaborated with FC a second time. She re-released I’m Yours in 2018 on her EP “Live Now”. Live Now was produced by FC and BJazz Scott (Eric Roberson). The songs she wrote on that EP catapulted her into the international spotlight. In the spring of 2018 she was afforded an opportunity to sing her songs in Paris, France.
Ms. Lynee just released her new single “Starting Over” December 31st, 2018. It was penned by Grammy nominee Jayshawn Champion (Usher, Toni Braxton). It was produced by Grammy nominee and B.E.T award nominee Bennie Wond3r (Cardi B, Meek Mill). On “Starting Over”, Donnie fleshes out the raw emotions associated with ending what she expected to be a life-long relationship. The single is receiving exceptional reviews across the nation and the globe.
Lynee is a philanthropist, as well as an advocate and supporter for Women's Health, Endometriosis Awareness and Treatment, and Advancements in Cancer Prevention and Treatment. In 2016, she led a fundraising concert and campaign raising the second largest amount of donations for The Colon Cancer Alliance within Cleveland Clinic.
Today, the sultry songstress performs locally in Cleveland, in major cities in the US and internationally. She continues to find inspiration to write and sing about love, real life experience, hope and the pursuit of a better life.
